MISC:Afghanistan is a landlocked country. The terrain is mostly rugged
mountains with plains in the north and southwest. 12% of the land is

67.8% of the work force is engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry.
Note the life expectancy for men is higher than for women. In 1984
Afghanistan spent 63% of its total central government budget on its
